Independently owned Yorkshire based waste company Whitkirk Waste Solutions, which is part of the £50m Bowring Group, has appointed Phil Schofield as sales manager.
The appointment comes as the company looks to build on its success in the food and drinks sector, where it specialises in wet waste tankering, disposal and secure destruction for several high profile, global brands.
Phil joins Whitkirk from Acumen Waste in Leeds where he spent four years as sales manager. In his new role, he will focus on business development, targeting new sectors and introducing new services to ensure that the company can offer a total waste package to its customers, whatever the waste stream.
David Bowring, Managing Director of Whitkirk Waste Solutions said: “Our commitment to excellent customer service has driven our sales in the past and as we look to explore new markets and develop some of our other services, we’ve looked to strengthen our already sound management team. We’re excited that Phil has joined us, and hope to see him develop a larger sales team in the future as the company continues to flourish.”
Whitkirk Waste Solutions has completed a £1.5million investment plan in its transport fleet, which now benefits from greater fuel efficiency and low emissions to help reduce the environmental impact of the company’s operations. The second phase of investment is underway for the rest of 2017 which will see several new vehicles and barrels joining the already diverse fleet of vac tankers, drain jetters, gully suckers, road sweepers and skip vehicles.
